Rainy days and…..

Fridays! Did you think I was gonna go with Mondays? Not this week, more like Tuesday, Thursday and yes, today, Friday. Side note, I do like the song Rainy Days and Mondays by The Carpenters (1971). If you’ve not heard it, please give it a listen, good stuff and hit number 2 on the charts back then. Anyway, rain once again and as we are underway with our Pulp Deck project, not much happening today. Deck is currently exposed and the most immediate work required involves getting up on the ladder, not such a great idea when all is wet (I still carry the memory of the ladder fall and broken ankle back during the Pulp Greenhouse construction days so not looking to repeat). Did the only thing I could, picked up some tools, set up the “paint shop” (our indoor breezeway) and laid out the first set of 12 foot 2” x 6” boards that will become our new roof slats (more to come on the actual design). We’ll be pre-painting all wood due to the heights we are working at and basic lack of access. Looks like we’ll be having some very nice and summer like conditions starting tomorrow so should be all rested and ready to go.

Ms. Zoe (I’m a good kitty) says today’s a good day to work on her upcoming memoir so who am I to argue? Break out the pictures (have a look at her page on this site, many to go through and she wants this to be the end all end all of good kitty memoirs so…lots to do)!
