Is it Friday yet….

Why yes it is and welcome to this weeks blog update! I must say that this past year has been more of, “I think it’s Friday, but not completely sure” thing. Calendars on walls and on my cell phone have gotten a good workout but certainly have been most appreciative of them as they help to guide us through what seemingly has been an extraordinarily “long” year or so while we await getting back to normal in some shape or form. Of course, normal will certainly have a new look so might not actually be normal at all. Sort of a conundrum wouldn’t you say? Anyway, things do seem to be getting brighter and what a pleasure it was to see the Kentucky Derby go off last weekend with fans in attendance (and a great race indeed)!

Being a Kentuckian now (and no, did not go to the race, it’s at least 4 hours away from here, in case you were wanting to ask) seems to make that race a bit more relevant in some way, not unlike how I used to feel back in my New York days and with the Belmont Stakes (I have been to that one a few times, in case you were wanting to ask). I think the true beauty of the Kentucky Derby, beyond the horses and crazy hats, is that it sort of kicks off the summer season and certainly my most favorite time of year. That’s right, I like the heat! I’ll take a 101 degree day over a 32 degree day any day of the week (excuse the excessive use of the word “day” here, it was unavoidable).

Here in Pulpland, house, yard, work shop, recording studio, etc., all continuing to be upgraded and things are really coming together. Expect to be back in the recording studio this coming week to pick up where we left off (yes, still trying to nail the vocals on the “Reach” song and want to do some more editing on “Nothing at All”, plus get back to a few others that are currently “works in progress”). Also, half way into installing a new floor (that LVT wood looking floor tile) in the 2nd downstairs room which will eventually be a spare bedroom and home to a treadmill (which is, at the moment, collecting dust out in the garage). As luck would have it, delays in getting product, once again, actually play well into the progress plans with 3rd and soon to be new “game” room tile on a barge somewhere in route, which should give enough time to complete current install and then free up some room for it when it does arrive. Yay, shipping delays!

Got some new pics on the New Pulp Page and started the “4240 Project” entries on the Pulp Improvements page so feel free to have a look. Peace for now and see you next week!
