Coming up on……

The end of week 2 with nothing but the XMas 2016 playlist of songs emanating from our Mac and Sonos music system. So far so good and I must admit I kind of look forward to each afternoon when I turn it back on. Like I said though, it’s only week 2! I’ve been looking for some new holiday tunes to add to the collection but haven’t quite stumbled on anything that blew me away just yet. Mind you the “2016” thing was when we first created the playlist, compiling the many and all over the place existing collection of holiday tunes into one “go to” playlist for this time of year. And as we add new songs or albums, they all end up there so, again, it’s one click and off we go. Still have not memorized all of the words to the Waitresses “Christmas Wrapping”, which I believe to be my favorite of all, but I am going to keep trying!

In case you all didn’t know, a few times a year (and we plan to eventually increase that) we’ll send an email update called “Pulpland News” to our email subscribers giving a quick little snippet of what’s been going on here in Pulpland, complete with a couple highlight pics and/or links to things we have done of late. It just so happens that this was one of those weeks so wanted to share with those who are not on the email chain (sans the pics cause there all here on the website). That said, I give you the recent “Pulpland News”…..

Time for the “it’s almost winter” Pulpland update! To set the record straight and continue with our usual mention of weather conditions and how they pertain to all things Pulpland, I can say for sure that within the last month and a half we have literally experienced fall, spring, summer and winter, sometimes within the same day (or so it seemed). Which can make things a little hard to schedule as a lot of what we have been doing of late has been finishing up the outside portion of Pulp Porch project. And we are very close on that (see pics below) but snow (it did), rain (it is), and extreme cold (I personally find it hard to do finish work with gloves on and really find it hard when I can’t feel my hands)! Suffice to say, there has been a bit of pivoting and adapting to what can be done on a given day.

That said, the Pulp Porch interior is a thing of beauty, another one of those “destination” hang outs and we are truly proud of the work we did to get it there. I must admit there were a few moments of question and dreaded fear that things weren’t going to pan out, but pan out they did, so for that we are grateful.

As mentioned in the last update, we had put a little pause on Pulpmuzic so we could get the porch done. Happy to report that we are taking advantage of the days that don’t allow for outside work by recording, creating new video’s and editing some of our prior outputs to see if we can make them a touch better. And this just in… we have earned “the title of rising creator” from Facebook this week for the re-release of our new version video for “Nothing At All”, which pretty much just means they liked it and it is getting some positive feedback from folks, so thinking that’s a good thing. It may also mean that the FB algorithm (it’s all about the algorithm) will step up the frequency of plays it gets, which would be a really good thing! New version link button is at the bottom below, just click on it!

On an extremely sad note, our beloved Zoe (I am a good kitty) passed away over the recent Labor Day weekend. In typical Zoe fashion, she went fast (heart attack) so there would be no possibility of having to go to the pet hospital, which she greatly despised. Mom and Dad were by her side and she will be forever missed. R.I.P. Miss Zoe, your memoir is in the works.

All for now!
