Well it’s Friday and it is…..

Dumpster delivery day! That’s right, managed to secure a dumpster yesterday for a today drop off and we’ll be able to clean up some of the leftovers and mess from the Pulp Porch project. Mind you, we gutted a whole large portion of the existing screened in porch prior to installing any of the new pieces so we literally have a trailer filled with old parts which are now buried in new “leftover” cuts from all of the wood we went through on the new framing. And with wood being as expensive as it is these days, seems almost a shame to be ridding ourselves of these, however, in the past I have saved a whole lot of shorts and cuts, only to have them be there forever, with only the rare occasion when I could actually put a piece to use. So I say, bring on that dumpster, we are going to clean up and start fresh! Guessing there might be a few other choice and un-needed items that will get tossed as well, so good times around here, it’s Dumpster Day!

If you are keeping track of the Pulp Porch project on the New Pulp page, you’ll see we are down to caulk and paint (plus a couple outlet cover changeouts) on the interior so plan to be moving furniture in over the weekend. I get to pick out and install the new wall mount TV (this is going to be a great space for watching sports!) so very excited about that. Have one exterior side buttoned up and hoping to get some scaffolding today so I can reach the other side to do as same. Still working out the details on the front exterior, will keep you all posted. As it turns out, our exterior siding delivery has been delayed a couple weeks so goal now is just getting the outer plywood up to “weatherize” it.

Enjoying some fine outdoor temps here these days (as in, mostly upper 70’s) so it has been very conducive to getting stuff done,. Off to the Lowe’s so see you next week!
