Happy New Year?

Well, here we are and it’s 2021. Can’t really say that it feels much different than yesterday, albeit, the sun is out today and it’s not cold and raining as it was for New Years Eve. We did really need that rain so no complaints, it was just a pretty nasty day. Quite the appropriate finish to 2020, I must admit. While we are far from out of the woods, very looking forward to the day we can get back to some sense of normal, whatever that new normal is. On a bright note, don’t anticipate writing down the last year whenever I date something these days (as I have generally done for the first month or so of any new year), so got that going for sure!

Here at Pulpland, spent much of the week working on Pulpmuzic. The video for Innocent took some time with the synchronization process of melding image with the song itself. Seems every time I thought I had it right, kept getting lost in the upload process. Fingers crossed it survives the upload to YouTube and display here on the Pulpland website (check out New Pulp and/or our Goatclothes Productions page).

Made some significant process with our new song “Nothing at All”, while still not able to nail the vocals on the new “Reach” song. Amazing how you think it all sounds so good as you are recording it, only to come to a completely different conclusion upon playback. It is going to happen, probably by accident, but soon though (which is why I typically record new and complete full song vocal tracks, just so we don’t take a chance and miss that one perfect rendition)!

Speaking of video’s, seems I am becoming quite the picky director. Which is pretty comical since I am the only one appearing in the video’s, in essence, directing myself. Quite a few arguments between director and actor (me) but should make for an interesting outtake reel at some point! This also explains why we are still working on the “Building a Pulp Greenhouse” episode one video. This too will happen soon.

So welcome 2021, nice to see you. 2020, don’t let the door smack you on the way out!

Peace and Happy New Year y’all!
